The Outreach & Education Committee is hard at work developing and maintaining a number of very exciting projects of entrepreneurship education, mentoring and leadership. The Guild’s commitments on this front are growing fast, and more help is now needed to support and sustain this growth.
Late last year, the Guild was invited to participate in the Sheriff’s London Challenge (an inter-livery schools debating competition). The Guild partnered with Northumberland Park Community School in Tottenham, and the team of students that took part in this excellent event performed with great credit.
Northumberland Park (NPCS) would very much like to continue to build on the relationship with the Guild. A meeting is proposed for early April, to scope out one or two discrete entrepreneurial initiatives with which the Guild can be involved over the next 12 months.
The Outreach & Education Committee is looking for a Freeman to join it as a Committee Member and to take the lead in the relationship-building and project management of the work with NPCS over the coming year and beyond. This Committee Member will report to Court Assistant Nicola Manning, who leads on the education aspects of the Committee’s work.
Junior Warden Rick Lowe chairs the Committee, and, if you would like more information, or to be considered for this role, please contact him directly Rick.Lowe@brandsin.co.uk
