New Freeman admitted at Cutlers’ Hall

The Guild was delighted to welcome Simon Fordham as a Freeman Entrepreneur at a special ceremony of admission at Cutlers’ Hall on 6th June 2017. Accompanied by his wife Helen, and his guests James and Michelle Vellacott, Simon made his pledge and declaration to the Guild’s Court in the splendid Court Rooms.

The Clerk read out a lengthy and hugely impressive citation, covering Simon’s varied and successful career building his own businesses, and mentoring and investing in other fledgling enterprises (over 200 SMEs to date, across a whole range of sectors). His consultancy practice specialises in turnarounds and developing business growth strategies.

The Senior Warden, Alderman Peter Hewitt, warmly congratulated Simon and, on behalf of the Master, presented him with his Freedom.

Simon has already offered his services to the Outreach and Education Committee in helping to frame and deliver the Guild’s ambitious programme of entrepreneurship education and practical help.
