Admission of new Freemen of the Company of Entrepreneurs
It was the pleasure of the Master Entrepreneur, Mr Rick Lowe, to admit the last Freemen of his year of office on the evening of 24th November 2020. It was also an historic occasion, as these four were the very first to be admitted directly as Freemen of the new Company of Entrepreneurs. The Master was especially pleased to note that, despite the restrictions of COVID-19, these new Freemen had already become fully engaged with the charitable work of the Company of Entrepreneurs Trust and that some of their names would shortly be added to the roll of the Trust’s Principal Benefactors.
Rita, Simon, Pinky and Jat each spoke briefly to pledge to uphold the Company’s objects, and declared their assent to the Freemen’s oath. These small acts preceded their formal admission as full Freemen Entrepreneurs – by virtual presence for now, but the Master hoped very much that soon they would be able to sign the Freedom Register in person and receive real-life framed certificates recording their admission. Until then, the Master welcomed them virtually to the Company, and encouraged them to join their fellow Freemen in the online interaction and opportunities that the Company offers.
The new Freemen are:
