26 – Nov : The Installation Dinner 2019

By kind permission of the Worshipful Company of Drapers, the Guild of Entrepreneurs is privileged to call all Freemen and their guests to attend the Installation Dinner at Drapers’ Hall, beginning with drinks at 6.45pm

The Installation Dinner is the preeminent formal dining event of the Guild’s year, and this very special occasion will be held in the magnificent Drapers’ Hall. A sumptuous dinner will be served, preceded by a sparkling reception.

During dinner, Grace and the National Anthem will be sung, and a Loving Cup shared. Music and instructions will be provided in the menus.

The new Master will speak after dinner, and is delighted to invite special guest Prof Noel Fitzpatrick to respond on behalf of the guests.

Professor Noel Fitzpatrick is a world-class and multi award-winning orthopaedic-neuro veterinary surgeon. In addition to his work in veterinary research and practice, he has founded companies across a range of sectors: in events and media, science and technology, charity and education.

He has grown Fitzpatrick Referrals into the UK’s pre-eminent and largest dedicated small animal orthopaedic and neuro-surgical facility. Based in Surrey, Fitzpatrick Referrals employs over 250 veterinary professionals and comprises state of the art surgical, diagnostic and rehabilitation facilities.

Noel and his team have been the subjects of a number of TV documentaries which have been broadcast internationally. These include Bionic Vet for the BBC and long-running and acclaimed The Supervet for Channel 4.

His best-selling autobiography and high-profile work in the media,‎ has made Noel a household name, and a hugely popular public speaker. His dedication to charity through the Humanimal Trust and passion for cross-discipline medical development through One Medicine is an exemplar of socially-conscious enterprise.

The Guild of Entrepreneurs is privileged to welcome the Masters of several Livery Companies, as well as representatives from the Defence Academy and other partner organisations and sponsors. A stirrup cup will be served in the Court Rooms following dinner.

Installation Court 2019

The installation of Mr Rick Lowe as the sixth Master Entrepreneur will take place in the Drawing Room of Drapers’ Hall. All Freemen are expected to attend the Installation Court, which is followed by a drinks reception and the Installation Dinner.

The Installation Court begins at 6pm, where the Master, Hon Gp Capt Peter LR Hewitt JP, will admit the final Freemen of his year of office, and install his successor as Master for the year ensuing. Mr Lowe will invest his predecessor as Immediate Past Master, confirm Mr Lars Andersen and Mrs Judy Hadden as Senior and Middle Wardens, and swear-in Mr Gary Dixon as the new Junior Warden.

Timings and Arrivals

The Installation Court will begin promptly at 6pm. All Freemen are expected to attend, and the guests of Freemen are warmly welcome.

For dinner, invitations pour memoire will be issued for bookings made before the cancellation deadline (9am Tuesday 19th November). If you have not received your pour memoire by Friday 22nd November, please contact the Clerk.

Drinks will be served from 6.45pm

Dinner will be served at 7.30pm.

Carriages at 10.30pm.
