COVID-19 The Association of Business Mentors & BEIS Business Response
As Chair of The Association of Business Mentors ( ABM) Freeman Simon Fordham recently requested the views of fellow Freemen, and subsequently the wider Livery movement , about what the Government could be doing in the days, weeks and months ahead to support our great British Businesses. He was invited to attend a meeting with Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) as the Government needed to know businesses top 5 business support/intervention needs/requirements given the current situation. He was very grateful to receive over 150 responses, from over twenty sectors, from all over the UK. The ABM, tried to offer a balanced view from all the responses received and emailed a letter to BEIS this morning.
A copy of the information included in the letter can be found here https://www.associationofbusinessmentors.org/posts/13-covid-19-abm-calls-on-the-government-to-fund-access-to-mentors-coaches-to-help-business-owners
In the coming weeks it is the ABM’s intention to maintain strong contact with the Business Team at BEIS and partake in a weekly catch-up with them. If you wish to continue to help at this time please email firstname.lastname@example.org anything relevant about business either for now or post COVID-19.
