25 – Sep : September Court
“Hope springs eternal in the human breast;
Man never Is, but always To be blest.
The soul, uneasy, and confin’d from home,
Rests and expatiates in a life to come.”
Much like Alexander Pope, Freemen Entrepreneurs are an optimistic bunch, and are all expatiating upon the end of lockdown, and this year’s September Court Dinner.
The September Court is the last Court of the Guild Year, and the dinner that follows it has a rosy reputation for gentle mischief and introspection. This year, by kind permission of the Master of the Worshipful Company of Armourers and Braziers, we are delighted to dine in the rarefied surroundings of Armourers’ Hall.
A Freedom Ceremony (at which all Freemen admitted by virtual presence during the lockdown will have their opportunity to sign the Freedom Register) will be held at 7pm, and drinks will be served at 7.30pm before dinner at 8pm.
The September Court will be held at Armourers’ Hall on Friday 25th September, 2020.
Court begins at 4.30pm and will be followed by a Freedom Ceremony at 7pm.
