An evening of fellowship at The Panoramic

Monday 29th February 2016

Freemen, guests and prospective members gathered together for an evening of fellowship, conversation, food and drink accompanied by some of the most spectacular and jaw-dropping views of the London skyline ever seen. The Panoramic, a sumptuous and stunning penthouse apartment situated close to Vauxhall Bridge, is home to our Deputy Master Sir Paul Judge and his wife Lady Barbara Judge, who had very generously thrown open the doors of their home for the benefit of the Guild and had laid on a beautiful array of hot and cold canaps and wines and soft drinks.

We were treated, quite literally, to panoramic views of London from 73 metres above the Thames and from both sides of the apartment, with its formal dining room on one side of the building and the beautiful and spacious lounge on the other. Towards the end of the evening, Sir Paul gave a talk about the Civic City and the Livery and Guild movements and exhorted prospective members to apply to join. He also spoke about the first stage plans for his Masters Weekend trip to Belgrade.

We thank Sir Paul and Lady Barbara for their generosity in allowing us access to their beautiful home and for a wonderfully spirited evening of conversation, laughter and friendship.
