The Guild’s evening event at London Business School on Wednesday 1st June is fast approaching, and the positive take-up by student entrepreneurs has astonished senior staff! In an email to the Guild’s Outreach & Education Committee, the Executive Director of the Deloitte Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Jeff Skinner, said he had “Never seen anything quite like it.” and that over 20 student businesses had signed up to the event even within a few hours of the invitations going out.
The LBS Incubator (The House) provides a home and support to students who are launching their own business within three years of graduation from the School. The Incubator is now in its sixth year and has helped 57 businesses to date, most of which are flourishing and between them they have won awards, been voted leading start-ups, and raised over £4 million in equity.
The booking deadline of 3.30pm on Thursday 26th May is looming. This is your last chance to sign up for this free event and to come along to meet these young businesses, learn about them and the LBS Entrepreneurship Summer School and how the Guild can help them. This is a fantastic opportunity to tangibly give back to the industry, by offering advice and the benefit of your experience to fledgling enterprises. Irrespective of your sector or business background, you will certainly come away with valuable ideas and insights into the next generation of entrepreneurs.
